Doreen Bell, an 89-year-old retired office manager and widow, has lived a life filled with adventure and creativity. Born and bred in Dyess, Arkansas, she married a sailor and spent over twenty years traveling and living at numerous stations. Doreen, a lifelong fan of gardening, needlework, and science fiction, resorted to writing after her vision difficulties caused her to abandon her other pastimes.
